Hot-Swappable Logic

Hot-Swappable Optimization Logic

Hot-Swappable Optimization Logic allows VPP algorithms to be updated or replaced without downtime, device firmware changes, or site visits. In Molecule's AERA architecture, optimization logic is injected into MOS 350 gateways via the cloud and executed locally. If market conditions change (new tariff structure, new ancillary service program), you upload new logic-it takes effect immediately. If you want to switch from simple TOU optimization to sophisticated multi-program value stacking, you inject new algorithms without touching device firmware. Hot-swappable logic is critical for VPPs that need to adapt as programs evolve. It's also why OEMs choose Molecule: they don't rebuild firmware for every market program-they inject new logic into the execution layer.

How Molecule Systems Relates

Hot-swappable logic is a key feature of Molecule's AERA architecture. OEMs choose Molecule specifically because they don't need to rebuild firmware for every new market program or tariff change. New optimization algorithms are injected into MOS 350 gateways remotely and take effect immediately - no downtime, no firmware updates, no site visits.
