Adaptive Energy Response Architecture

Adaptive Energy Response Architecture (AERA) is Molecule Systems' execution architecture that decouples control intelligence from deterministic asset operation. Under AERA, optimization logic-forecasting, dispatch algorithms, market bidding-can come from anywhere: OEM cloud platforms, third-party aggregators, utility DERMS, or custom algorithms. But execution happens locally, at the edge, via MOS350 (Molecule's internal edge OS). This separation ensures dispatch logic continues executing even during cloud outages. AERA's principle: Intelligence can come from anywhere. Execution has to be reliable. AERA enables hot-swappable optimization, protocol-agnostic integration, and autonomous edge-based control for grid-grade VPP performance.

How Molecule Systems Relates

AERA is Molecule Systems' proprietary execution architecture and the technical foundation of every product in the platform. It enables the key differentiator: intelligence and execution are intentionally decoupled, so OEMs keep building hardware, utilities keep owning optimization logic, and Molecule handles deterministic, local, real-time execution at the edge.
